Hold the frame against the window and press until the tension pads grip. No drill, no dust, no landlord email.

At midsummer the sun can still be above the horizon when you go to bed, and a curtain that "mostly" works is no use at all on that night. That is the night we built the frame and the seal for. An ordinary bedroom is the easy version.
